For model year 2022 Can-Am debuted its Smart-SHOX technology on the Maverick X3 family. Competing directly with the Polaris DYNAMIX Live Valve system, Smart-SHOX dynamically controls the shocks' dampening on the fly based upon the terrain, but with one big difference: rebound control. Yes, Smart-SHOX controls both compression and rebound, which at the time (Polaris DYNAMIX now has this also), was unique. It is so important to take family and friends along for the adventure with several manufacturers catering to those who want to do just that with four and six seat side-by-sides. Can-Am introduced a four-seat model in 2019 with adding the Maverick Sport MAX to its Maverick lineup. We have spent some time in both a Maverick Trail and Maverick Sport with both side-by-sides offering a very comfortable ride while at the same time being capable of tackling rugged terrain.
