For 2027, Kawasaki is expanding the Teryx KRX 1000 family with two new models aimed specifically at riders who spend their time on tighter wooded trails. The new Teryx KRX 1000 TR and four-seat Teryx KRX4 1000 TR take the proven KRX platform and narrow it down to a trail-friendly 63.8 inches wide.
We have always liked the KRX 1000 for its comfortable suspension, roomy cockpit and ability to soak up rough terrain. The problem is that its 68.1-inch width isn't ideal for every riding area. Kawasaki has addressed that with the TR models while trying to retain the characteristics that make the regular KRX so good on the trail.
And importantly, Kawasaki didn't simply install narrower wheels and call it a day. The suspension geometry, control arms, bodywork and suspension tuning have all been changed to create machines specifically designed for tighter wooded trails.

32-inch Maxxis Roxxzilla tires paired with bead-lock wheels for maximum grip and durability on technical terrain.
Heavy-duty HMW skid plates and low-profile A-arm and trailing-arm guards protect critical components while reducing snagging.
FOX 2.5 Podium LSC Piggyback shocks with 24-position compression adjustability and long suspension travel for control and traction over rocks.
Factory-installed, color-matched roof provides rider protection and ties into Rock Edition styling.
Kawasaki just dropped a rock-crawling specialist into the KRX 1000 family, and it’s not shy about its mission. The KRX 1000 Rock Edition arrives factory-equipped for technical climbs and rugged desert lines: sticky 32-inch Roxxzilla tires on beadlocks, a slightly broadened stance for stability and wheel placement, beefed-up underbody protection, and a WARN winch for when the trail fights back. It keeps the proven 999cc twin and CVT with centrifugal clutch for ultra-smooth, low-speed control, then wraps it all in bold two-tone styling that looks right at home in the rocks. It has everything we would want on a dedicated rock-crawling side-by-side straight from the factory, so good for Kawasaki to add this model the KRX 1000 lineup.
